NSW ICC World Cup T20 Legacy Fund - NOWOPEN
Date of Event : Tue Jun 19, 2018 3:07PM

The first round of the NSW ICC World Cup T20 Legacy Fund is now open for a limited time (grant closes on 13th July.). One of the funding streams is for Female Programs and Resources.

One of Cricket NSW's main strategies is to work with local Cricket Clubs and Associations to develop sustainable girls competitions, namely the Sixers Girls Cricket League and Thunder Girls Cricket League.  We are asking any affiliated cricket clubs to work closely with the NJCA to ensure consistency when applying for this grant. There is funding available for a minimum of $5000 for Clubs and Associations.

Please note the fund requires a 50% co-contribution.

Associations or Clubs could consider applying for $5,000 from the Growing Cricket for Girls Fund or using the GCFG $2000 Club funding as co-contributing to this. The GCFG funding can be used for a coordinator to manage the NSW ICC World Legacy funding and GCFG funding within the Association.

From the NSW ICC World Cup Legacy Funding, Associations and clubs could apply for:

  • Coaching sessions for all girls in the Association ie pre-season, holiday camps, weekly coaching for girls teams (CNSW can assist with finding coaches)
  • Coaches to assist with promotions at local schools eg after school clinics coaching (playing recognized CNSW formats and supported by CNSW staff)
  • Coaching courses for females or those coaching females eg Level 2 approx $800 pp
  • Umpires courses
  • Equipment for club teams - bats, balls, protective equipment, helmets, wicket keeping pads
  • Equipment for training eg bowling machines, stumps, training aids
  • Travel for regional teams for district competitions
  • Venue hire costs for training and games
  • Uniforms / Team kit
  • Marketing/promotions
