Sixers Girls Cricket League 2019/20

For the first time the Newcastle Junior Cricket Association will be able to offer a complete junior pathway for female cricketers in season 2019/20.


The expansion of the Sixers Girls Cricket League to include the U15s competition, will now compliment the proposed Women’s T20 Newcastle District Cricket Competition and also the successful Sydney Sixers Women’s Social competition - click here for the Facebook Page.


On the Representative Cricket front Representative opportunities will be offered by the Newcastle Cricket Zone via the Country Championship (U15s, U18s), Plan B Regional Bash (Female) and U13s and U15s level via the NSW DCA Molly Dive and Margaret Peden competitions respectively.

Introductory Programs - Available at all clubs

Junior Blasters 5-7 yrs

Master Blasters 7-10 yrs


Junior Cricket 1 - Girls Competition 

  • Introduction to cricket. Normally 10 – 13 age group
  • Softer Ball - 
  • T20 Format
  • Friday Evenings 5pm - 7pm
  • Pitch length 16m
  • Group Coaching Sessions
  • Clubs, schools or individuals to a team
  • Ideal introduction to Girls U16 Competition


Junior Cricket 2 - Girls Competition (NEW)

  • Ages 13-15 
  • T20 Format
  • 9 a side
  • 142g Kookaburra Star
  • Friday Evenings 5pm - 7pm
  • Pitch length – 18m
  • Group Coaching Sessions
  • Clubs, schools or individuals to a team
  • Participation based (ie restrictions of balls faced batting and overs bowled)
